(More customer reviews)I have bought two kinds of diffusion materials from Amazon so far. Both are fine products.
ALZO Softbox Diffusion fabric is mostly a high grade, very tightly meshed, cotton muslin with a small admixture of nylon for strength. When it arrived, it was folded into a square that I unfolded easily enough, and slipped into the barndoors of my PAR lights. It's big enough to fit over the mouths of my PAR64 lights, too, but I didn't feel comfortable with the amount of heat that my 500 watt PAR64 lights produce, and was afraid the muslin might start smoking. If you find your bigger PAR lights casting too harsh a light, and want to soften it a little, I think you could do better with a diffusion gel like Rosco Roscolux 1/4 Tough White Diffusion, 20" x 24" Sheet of Light Diffusing Material instead, if only because the gel lets more light through. It follows that gels are less likely to hold in the heat, and burn or smoke from all that wattage.
In summary, ALZO Softbox Diffusion fabric seems more suited to the smaller PAR lights, like PAR38s and PAR46s.
The bottom line, however, is that I am perfectly happy with both of these products.
