The "clicks" at each sound level are louder and feel more pronounced than other volume controls, but everything works well.Installation is always a bit of fun with these units. I highly suggest one utilizes a low-voltage frame (box) rather than a regular electrical box.The extra room in a low-voltage box (and extra advantage of having the whole wall cavity to work with) saves time and headaches with installation.Installed two units with no issues.
