(More customer reviews)The instructions are decent, and a fumbler like me managed it just fine.My drop-down distance was uncertain and I found I needed to add an extension to the support tubing.The extension wasn't as good a buy as the unit, but at least it was available.The extension worked fine and I'm content.
As it IS adjustable, the connections rely on friction-fitting with mounting screws, as many others do.It's probably ok as is, but I added a braided cable wrap from the base to the ceiling as a safety net.Also, with a total of three pieces the support doesn't resist torque very well - it twists easily if you are fiddling with the unit - but that shouldn't matter, as you won't be fiddling with it once it's set.The thumb-screw adjustments for pitch and yaw (or is it roll and yaw?) work well and were welcome.
I have an Epson 6500UB projector.I would have got the Epson mount, but I couldn't find extensions for it.This did the job, and for less money.
