(More customer reviews)After scanning all the usual web sites for a quality mount, I settled on the Sanus for two reasons, prior Sanus purchase and lowest price available. Im finishing my basement and since I had access to the floor joists above, it was rather simple to build some additional bracing for the mount prior to drywall installation. This mount is sturdy and is well made with a nice finish. 4 lag bolts secure it to the cieling attached to the floor joists above (dead center) and to additional bracing I installed for my 32" LCD. Prior to mounting, I made a cardboard mock up of the tv and attached it to the mount to insure clearance once the tv is mounted. If you dont use a mock up, your tv may be too close to the wall to be able to rotate and tilt. One word of caution, even if you mount in the corner of a room and can access the butt joist and cross joist you will only have 3 of the bolts in wood unless you sanwich another board to allow for all 4 bolts, this obviously would require framing access. On the positive side I believe 3 bolts would hold a tv up to 30 pounds without any problem.
