(More customer reviews)I recently purchased a 19" LCD TV for the kitchen and planned to place it on top of the fridge where my old tube was. The problem with this TV is that it does not tilt, so while sitting at the dinner table the view was terrible. Also, it would wobble a bit every time we open and close the fridge. I decided to mount the TV on the ceiling so I bought this ceiling mount. This mount is perfect, almost like it was made for the TV.
Installation: The longest part of the installation was installing a brace between two ceiling joists in order to drill into. There was no joist where I had to mount it. After that was done it took about 20 minutes to install the mount (I wasn't keeping time) with only a few parts and screws. I needed a power screw driver, a wrench that comes with the kit, pencil and tape measure. I located the approximate mounting spot from the attic with the help of a nail and my wife.
Adjustment: The mount is very adjustable in all directions. I have mine mounted at it's highest point. This leaves about two inches between the bottom of the TV and the top of the fridge. Your installation may vary depending upon ceiling height, fridge height and TV size. I tilted it down enough for a perfect picture while sitting down but still viewable while standing. And no more wobbling when we open the fridge.
Great price, easy installation and did exactly what I wanted it to do. It's also fairly small so it fits right in with the TV. They also make a white one for $20 more but the TV is black so it didn't matter much to me. Highly recommended for the application I described above.
